The construction of the new Asurion headquarters required the blasting and excavation of over 160,000 cubic yards of material to deliver a pit for 2 levels of below-grade parking on this 5 acre site. Given the proximity of the excavation to the CSX railway, close coordination with CSX and monitoring of the tracks was needed to excavate 40 feet deep parallel to the rail line.
